When last we visited one of our favorite luxury bedding dealers, we came across some designed by Ralph Lauren. Which led us to ask – who else designs, makes and sells designer luxury bedding? The list of great designer names for designer luxury bedding goes on and on. For example there is; Tommy Hilfiger, Oscar de la Renta, Waterford, Hello Kitty bedding, Perry Ellis, and Donna Karan (DKNY) are some of the most recognizable. We would first like to talk about the Lauren designer luxury bedding from Ralph Lauren. Just click on to any of their web pages and your response will be “Wow!†The Plage d’Or Collection is one designer luxury bedding set of high merit. All of the descriptors are accurate; vintage, romantic, elegant and modern. These terms all apply as they should to luxury designer bedding. The collection comes in nine different patterns. The term vintage seems applicable to all of these sets. Most would look good in an Italian Villa overlooking the Mediterranean. But you don’t have to pay Italian Villa prices. Amazingly – these sets are available for just a few hundred dollars.
We could talk about Ralph Lauren designs and bedding all day. But, lets move on to somebody else currently in the spotlight – Donna Karan. The ubiquitous DKNY label seems to be just hitting its stride. Do a search on eBay for luxury designer bedding – you find the DKNY label. Do another search with a large name chain bedding retailer – you come up with the DKNY label again. It is astounding that this one designer label has so much coverage (pun intended) with bedding. This label also seems to command the higher price tags – but they have lower price collections as well.
Their Victorian Falls King and Queen Duvets are real standouts – and the leader in price and luxury. Next – and setting the gold standard – would be the Gold Leaf Queen Duvet Silk Set. The Black Shadow Floral set in all-black floral would be good to break out for a cold winter’s night – or day. The set might be suitable for Batman (or Bruce Wayne) and the Batcave. Our favorite large chain bedding retailer offers the Blue Mini Comforter complete floral set or the Full Bloom complete floral set. The former is available in a blue color scheme and the latter is available in a purple color scheme.
